Brother Down's special breed of "Americana jam" began as a way for singer, songwriter, and guitarist Jason Turner and his twin brother and lead guitarist Jamie Turner to continue writing music and performing after years of playing more "electrified". By transforming their blues/rock background into an acoustic duo and adding rhythmic guitar breaks in a groove-based psychedelia, they threw in a little alt country on top and created a style all of their own.
