Maryland-Based Beverage Group Finds New Prestige in Howard County

This fall has been an exciting time for Maryland’s own Prestige Beverage Group. In October, the company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new offices in Elkridge, having completed its move from much smaller digs in Curtis Bay. At that event, managing partners Bill Burrill and Joey Smith also teamed with Berrywine Plantations/Linganore Winecellars to present Johns Hopkins’ Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center with a check for $8,566 – the result of a charitable initiative the two Maryland beverage companies have collaborated on throughout the current year. New Website

After months of multi-tasking between wine festivals, redesigning our logo and imagining what to create for our new website, we finally unveiled the new design on Monday. We hope that you like our new look and continue to visit our site for updates. One of our newest features is this blog, where we can interact with customers, share news about the winery and discuss all different aspects of the wine world with you. As you know from my last writing, as of March 13, 2011, we have gone 100% wind power, which is part of our sustainability goal for our winery. What you might not know is that on April 16, 2011 at about 8pm, we were hit by a F-1 tornado which gave us a lot of natural lighting by removing roofing from the processing room, tank room and the building we store the grape harvester, tractors, and festival equipment and supplies.
